Our family tour happened to include a few 8th grade classes. Fortunately they let the families load first then the students. The kids seemed fine to just group with friends on the lower level and some took seats on top that were available around us. So in addition to whale watching it was fun seeing the kids reactions as a humpback nudged the side of the boat and gave us a 35 minute show of fin and tail slaps. A luxury ship tried to watch from a distance as this whale only interacted with our ship. Perhaps the boat full of kids was a good luck charm? The naturalist on the ship also offered some educational points about whales which was appreciated. The staff seemed to enjoy their jobs and were pleasant. It was a beautiful trip. They offered snacks but the credit card machine needs wifi that they don't have on the open ocean. You likely could bring food on as well - they were fairly relaxed.

Loved seeing the whales. Was fabulous. Crew was great. Didn't think about weather and boat ride. Take a jacket!. Great trip got great pictures, loved it.
