Wonderful time, perfect experience for the homeschool family (or anyone!). My child loved hearing the announcers info and obviously loved seeing the whales but also got to actually hold a piece of a whale baleen which might have been his favorite part. Great time for everyone.

Spent too much time traveling out to the feeding ground in a boat that was overcrowded to only get a small glimpse of two whales. Also was hit with a last minute ā€œfuel surchargeā€ that wasnā€™t disclosed when purchasing the tickets. Many other guests were grumbling about this as well.

Hi Eric, Thanks for your input. As I'm sure you realize, it is completely out of our control how far we actually need to travel to see the whales, as they are in their own natural habitat. Unfortunately, they have moved a little bit further off shore, hence the longer travel time. In regards to your comment about the fuel surcharge, this is also something out of our control. We contacted everybody who had a reservation to give them notice about the added $5 expense, along with posting it on all of our social media, website & booking websites, so perhaps you did not receive our notices? We hesitated for as long as we could before adding it, but had we not then we take the chance of going out of business after 44 successful years. I am happy to say most of our customers have been open and understanding to this, given the world wide crisis. I encourage you to maybe come out again, as most people find our tours to be exciting and educational. If that is not an option, then maybe you can follow us on Facebook and Instagram to get a glimpse into better days ahead. Kind regards, Capt. Jim Owner

This was my second trip with Cape Ann Whale Watch. I love how interactive the staff is with the customers on the boat. We were able to see a few whales that were feeding but they were coming up to the surface often. Definitely a good company to go whale watching with.
