The only wildlife we saw, except birds were humpback whales, however, we were not disappointed. It was a group of three, two of them showing their flukes as they disappeared into the ocean depth. One treated us with a roll over and several slaps with his pectoral fin. On our way back to the harbor we had a surprise sighting of another humpback. The on-board naturalist was fantastic, very knowledgeable and was able to recognize 2 of the 3 whales, sharing the names with us. On the trip back she brought out baleen, talked about how the whales used it and answered any questions. When whales were sighted, the captain would approach them on alternate sides of the boat, one time on the right, the next on the left and so on. This gave everyone a chance at a good view and was very much appreciated.
