Love whiskey? Walking? Pittsburgh? This sounds like the tour for you! From the mill to the still, whiskey has been a cornerstone in Pittsburgh's history. Join this tour and discover how whiskey has fueled political, labor and social movements throughout the region. We start the tour with a sample of the longest continuously produced whiskey in America. As we walk the streets of Downtown, you'll learn about the violent Whiskey Rebellion, hidden former (as well as existing!) speakeasies around the city, how Prohibition affected the region, and all about the revival of craft spirits. Get 4 additional and generously poured samples of whiskey as well.
**Please note: This is NOT a bar crawl but a whiskey history tour with tastings. Adults 21+ only; children + dogs are welcome to join; approx. 1 mile of walking

Aaron was our affable, generous, and informative tour guide. While the tour wasn’t what we initially thought it was going to be (thanks to COVID) it was actually much more and a highlight of our trip to Pittsburgh. Aaron did a great job modifying the tour given the COVID restrictions. We learned a lot of historical relevance to the importance of whiskey to Pittsburgh history economically, their labor unions, and prohibition. Generous pours were offered of three whiskeys and a coffee liquer.
