Whiskey Walking Tour

Overview
Love whiskey? Walking? Pittsburgh? This sounds like the tour for you! From the mill to the still, whiskey has been a cornerstone in Pittsburgh's history. Join this tour and discover how whiskey has fueled political, labor and social movements throughout the region. We start the tour with a sample of the longest continuously produced whiskey in America. As we walk the streets of Downtown, you'll learn about the violent Whiskey Rebellion, hidden former (as well as existing!) speakeasies around the city, how Prohibition affected the region, and all about the revival of craft spirits. Get 4 additional and generously poured samples of whiskey as well.
**Please note: This is NOT a bar crawl but a whiskey history tour with tastings. Adults 21+ only; children + dogs are welcome to join; approx. 1 mile of walking
**Included: 3 solid whiskey samples / hot toddy, cider or mint tea on cold days / coupon for one free drink at the Wigle distillery / Minitature whiskey cocktail at end of tour.

Corrie was a great tour guide - especially with 5 people on the tour who don't drink whiskey. She was very knowledgeable and kept it entertaining. We enjoyed hearing about the history of whiskey in Pittsburgh and about all the famous Pittsburgh townspeople (and the jagoffs)! Two thumbs up. The hot toddy to start the tour was delightful and I really enjoyed the coffee whiskey at the end and I'm not a coffee drinker. She pointed out several historic buildings built by Carnegie, Frick and others. We also learned the right way to pronounce 'Carnegie!' I can't wait to come back to Pittsburgh and take another tour with my family. Thanks for an enjoyable chilly afternoon in Pittsburgh! Only bummer was that the William Penn Hotel's speakeasy isn't open.

This was an awesome tour! Our tour guide was Candace (I could be wrong. She also does the ghost tours) but she was so nice and told us so much! I would definitely do this again

It was a very nice tour. Our tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable. Would recommend it to anyone looking for some history and a nice walk around downtown Pittsburgh.
