Whiskey Walking Tour

Overview
Love whiskey? Walking? Pittsburgh? This sounds like the tour for you! From the mill to the still, whiskey has been a cornerstone in Pittsburgh's history. Join this tour and discover how whiskey has fueled political, labor and social movements throughout the region. We start the tour with a sample of the longest continuously produced whiskey in America. As we walk the streets of Downtown, you'll learn about the violent Whiskey Rebellion, hidden former (as well as existing!) speakeasies around the city, how Prohibition affected the region, and all about the revival of craft spirits. Get 4 additional and generously poured samples of whiskey as well.
**Please note: This is NOT a bar crawl but a whiskey history tour with tastings. Adults 21+ only; children + dogs are welcome to join; approx. 1 mile of walking
**Included: 3 solid whiskey samples / hot toddy, cider or mint tea on cold days / coupon for one free drink at the Wigle distillery / Minitature whiskey cocktail at end of tour.

THIS TOUR IS A MUST even if you don’t care for whiskey! Corrie was probably one of the most interesting tour guides I’ve ever experienced... You can’t believe how much history of whiskey, prohibition and Pittsburgh history...My whole family was more than satisfied with all the knowledge we gained! Corrie made this fun while filling the whole walking tour with interesting facts and history....

Corrie was an incredible tour guide. She was really knowledgeable about Pittsburgh's whiskey history, but also exceptionally fun. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that wants to have a good time and learn some history along the way. All around great experience!!

Corrie was an excellent guide. She is so knowledgeable about Pittsburgh, and clearly loves her city. We were amazed to learn that Pittsburgh has quite a storied whiskey (or whisky if you're from a country with no "i") making history! Corrie made the tour fun and factual. Downtown Pittsburgh is truly lovely. We learned that the US Steel Tower is made from exposed steel designed to weather to a rust finish. The Alcoa building is made from aluminum, and the PPG building is glass. We enjoyed learning the Wigle story and how they challenged the law a few years back and were able to make changes. The Wigle Whisky shots were appreciated, too! Definitely recommend this tour.
