We have been white water rafting before in West Virginia, Colorado and Utah. This was comparable and fun for newbies and those who have rafted previously. We did the 1/2 day excursion and it was adequate time on the river. The trips are well run with safety talk beforehand so that you are well prepared in case you fall out of the raft. The only drawback I had was that I think these trips are only as good as the guide and our guide was not as outgoing as I would have liked. He never asked about us and told little about himself unless asked direct questions. But again, the trip was worth it (reasonable) and with a better guide would have received better marks.

Wanted to go rafting on a trip to the Smokies and with so many white water rafting companies to choose from, we chose Big Creek and we were not disappointed. For most of my group, this was our first time rafting and we were not sure what to expect. The guides are wonderful and make the trip fun. Don't worry about safety because they go over this with everyone and make sure they do their job while guiding on the river. Trust me when I say you won't be disappointed with Big Creek, check it out!
