The narrative was very informative. Our guide was very pleasant and made the trip fun. Would definitely come back.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM! Booked with them for the annual pony swim. Arrived an hour before departure time (30 min before he told us to be there) only to find out he had already left with a full boat. We were so blessed Captain Scotty from DAISY ISLAND CRUISES graciously took us out with them. If you want any boat ride book with daisy island cruises AVOID Assateague Explorer

We took the tour on July 25, 2022. When we got on the boat, which was not like the boat in the picture. This boat was not what we expected from the website. The captain arrived 15 minutes late because he was engaged in a conversation with someone in the parking lot. The guide made a joke like remark stating the captain was on Island time. The guide after confirming our reservations stated that the wild horses at this part of the island were corralled inland for their annual veterinary test to prepare for the annual swim and auction. They claimed we would see dolphins and birds, but we all paid to see the wild horses in in their natural habitat. We feel that the operator should have been more forth coming on the website that during this week the horses are not in their natural habitat but in the corrals at the National Forest service veterinary center. We ended up going to the National Forest Reserve to see the wild horses corralled with an addition $10 admission charge. We feel that we were mislead and would like our money back. On the website it states that the last Wednesday of July the horses are rounded up before they swim across the island. We were there on the last Monday of July and the horses were already gone. This was a very disappointing trip and we are requesting a full refund from the company.
