Gary is excellent guide. We learned a lot about glaciers, tides, and much more. Loved seeing the wildlife up close. Great way to get acquainted with Alaska .

Very little was memorable-at least not good memories. The driver was late and then a 1/2 hour wait for a late guest. We had a late afternoon flight out and thought that if the tour was 4.5 hours, we would be back at about 1:30. Well, at least the driver was concerned about getting us back on time, but that meant rushing thru sights. The "walk in the rain forest" was laughable-took just a few minutes and the driver had little to say about it. Short stop to view a glacier. Then, a run thru a zoo. It was nice to see the wildlife, but we were on our own. On a tour we just completed the guide had lots of info about wildlife and plant life. I have taken other Viator tours and been pleased. This one was a disappointment and not worth $115

So sorry you did not enjoy the tour. Often time on the Seward Highway there is a lot of construction delays. Unfortunately this happened to you. We had a 7.2 earthquake a while back and the State of Alaska has been making sure that the hillside is stable which closes one lane. We are proudly the lowest priced tour operator offering the service and tour you chose. Our competitors offer the same tour for $198.00 pp. We have chosen to keep our rates low but offer more. We never short you at the Wildlife Center or stops that we make mention of on our tour description regardless of how late we start. You did not go through a Zoo what you went through was the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center which is a 150 acre refuge with numerous animals that is a feature to Alaska. You also saw Explorer Glacier, Middle Glacier, Byron Glacier and you walked through the rainforest which is mostly self explanatory and normally a wow factor as well as a spiritual feeling for most. We feel the forest speaks for itself because when you go into it jaws drop and often guest do not want to come out. So sorry you saw this spiritual moment as laughable as that is certainly not how we have ever heard it described. I don't ever recall being as I am the only dispatcher to ever hear about the delay you encountered. All summer long the most I allow drivers to wait for guest is 10 minutes past departure. As a dispatcher I take a concertated effort to text customers the morning of their tour to let them know where we will meet. 15 minutes prior to you driver arriving I let all guest know that a driver will arrive shortly. So as you can see we do everything we can to make certain all guest are ready and boarded at departure time. If a customer is more than ten minutes late after departure my policy is to leave. I feel its best to count the customer as a no show and release the driver to start the tour. I am so sorry for your disappointment even though we are $83.00 cheaper than the competition. We strive to deliver on all points of interest on our description and stay on time while giving you the lowest fare possible.
