Matt was awesome, knowledgeable and truly loves what he does. I took a similar trip this past fall which was excellent as well - both are very comparable in terms of what we did, but this one is almost half the price. Bonus of the day was a quick spin up to the Alyeska resort which solidified my desire to spend time there on my next journey to Anchorage. Spectacular trip that represented a great value!

Matthew is such an amazing tour guide. He is knowledgeable and attentive. I really enjoyed the stories about the history of Anchorage, wildlife, and the people who live there. He took good care of us. And he always went above and beyond. It’s an enjoyable trip and I would highly recommend this trip to anyone.

They asked us to meet in one place and we went there. Then they told us that they are picking someone up in the hotel we lived in!! If they are picking up someone, why they ask us to come all the way here? The tour guide is not willing to even open the door for us. You do not need the wildlife animal. They just drives you to a the wildlife center in 2 hour distant and let you have an hour self exploration. You are simply paying for the drive. Do not waste your money

You received this tour for $99.00 when other tour companies charge $185.00. I hope you read our numerous five star reviews. The stops are extremely scenic as the road is voted one of the top scenic drives in America. On your tour you saw Beluga Point, Falls Creek, Girdwood for lunch on your own, Explorer Glacier, Middle Glacier, Byron Glacier, you walked in a rainforest and you spent an hour at the Wildlife Conservation Center. I do remember you and you are right, we do not pick up customers at hotels because it takes 45 minutes to an hour to pick up various clients and after the tour it takes the same. The only reason we picked up passengers on the day you booked is because they called at the last minute and it was a group. Had we made them come to the pick-up location we would have been delayed at least one hour. During winter months we only have one vehicle running. Most people choose to take a tour and not drive because of winter conditions. The tour does have a narration the entire way down which as you stated is a 2 hour drive with stops along the way. The only time we are unable to open doors for you is when we are sitting along side the road in precarious positions watching wildlife and traffic does not allow us to get out. Otherwise we make every effort to open and close doors. You never gave your feedback to the driver so we could address your feelings of being singled out prior to your review. Had you done so we would have explained the above? We are not accustomed to turning down customers and will take steps to accommodate last minute bookings. Especially during the winter months when business is tight and we are lucky to be profitable. You did note that we dropped everyone off at the pick-up location and no preferential treatment was given. I am so sorry for your dissatisfaction and feeling of being slighted it was not our intentions. Next time please let us know when exiting the vehicle so we could better explain the circumstances. As I recall you seemed to have a great time with the exception of not being chauffeured to and from your hotel. The tour operator who charges $185.00 does pick up and drop off from hotels but we prefer to offer more value and time to our customers. After 17 years in the industry, we have found that people want to get started immediately on their tour, avoiding the hotel tour and save money. Thank you for your review as it gives us the opportunity to explain to others and avoid misconceptions.
