We are family owned and operated as well as locally owned and operated. We are constantly in touch with locals to know exactly where the best places to whale watch are. This is our home town, we know our waters, you can feel confident traveling with us. Our vessel has indoor seating and outdoor seating space. You can walk all around on the deck. We offer a complimentary nonalcoholic beverage service, and light snacks. We have washroom facilities onboard. We look forward to meeting you and showing you the best whale and wildlife viewing opportunities here in Ketchikan. Our vessel is Wheelchair accessible! Tour is usually 2.5 hours in duration

Although I do recommend the tour (based on the reviews written by other people, the amount of positive reviews, and the promotional photos included in the site), I need to say that my experience was totally disappointing. The company is ok (very friendly and servicing company/staff). The ship was ok (enough space for everyone on the tour to have the chance to get good pictures in the event whales are spot) and the offered snacks were ok. We simply did not see any whales at all!! The day we took the tour it was raining significantly and cloudy, and visibility was not the best under these circumstances. The only thing we could spot was one bald eagle and attempts were made to entice it to get closer to the ship (by throwing some dead fish to the water), but nothing happen. We saw the bald eagle just standing on a pine tree with no further reaction. My recommendation for the company would be to offer some kind of guarantee (i.e., money refund, a voucher or something for another trip (if feasible)) if whales can't be observed or not to sail at all if the weather conditions are not the best to spot whales. It is very disappointing to spend almost $800.00 to see nothing.

Well we appreciate the feed back and the time you took to review our company. Unfortunately the weather here in south east Alaska is very wet and unpredictable. Like the rain we cannot control wildlife. We do get great feed back from most our guests, we wish we would get more. We do try to get our people out so see our wonderful wildlife here in Ketchikan. But as the rain, whales and other wildlife are unavoidably wild.. if they move to other areas then some times we do miss seeing them. It’s is unfortunate that all the people that have had an amazing tour don’t leave reviews as often as the ones that don’t. If you would have called to discuss your thoughts then we might have given you a partial refund, but you decided to leave us this review, Best of luck in your travels.

'Captain Jesse' worked very hard to ensure we witnessed what was available - one humpback whale, eagles and a black bear with cubs. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Boat ride was about 60-75 minutes to get to the whale sighting area. Shame that more whales were not around, but that's the risk with wildlife!

This experience was a huge disappointment for our family group of 10. The 4 kids had been looking forward to seeing whales or wildlife. We saw not one thing. After searching and not finding any whales, we didn’t even attempt to search for wildlife. There was no commentary on the boat, so we had no idea if there was anything to look at! Weather was not ideal this day. We should have been offered a free cancellation if they knew this was going to be a bust. The group ahead of us saw nothing, either. But, the captain tried to tell us that there was one whale spotted earlier. The other employee on the boat told us a different story. For the amount of money we paid for this, I would NOT recommend this excursion.

Hello Ann, I’m very sorry you didn’t get to see any whales on your tour. We do try our best to catch up with them the best we can. Yes they were out early in the morning that day but as you should know, whales are a wild creature and have habits that no one can control. I do wish you would have reached out to us so we could have issued a possible partial refund. But you decided to give us a review instead. I tell all passengers the same thing as do all whale watching tour companies, we do not guarantee whales or wildlife. Best of luck
