Willamette Valley Character Winery Tour

Overview

Does one of you prefer wine, while the other prefers spirits? Or maybe you're someone who appreciates both. On this tour, we'll have something for both palates. We'll take you to at least 2 vineyards and at least 1 distillery, representing a variety of settings, wines, and personalities. Your guide will introduce you to the Willamette Valley AVA while camaraderie develops among your small group. You will be wafted away to wine country while we provide you with background on the history, terroir, and character of Willamette Valley wine. We'll select among the 500 Willamette Valley wineries, and 6 distilleries located the heart of wine country, and specific requests may be accommodated. We'll wander through the rolling hills of multiple Willamette Valley sub-AVAs, passing through charming little villages, while making stops at some of the most unique boutique wineries. Lunch is included, tasting fees are not.

Willamette Valley

You will visit tasting rooms, wineries, and vineyards located in the most beautiful part of the Willamette Valley AVA; a countryside characterized by rolling, pastoral hills and subdivided into distinct AVAs.

Getting going was chaotic with poor communication from guide for pickup which was rather late. Once we got going the ride was nice and he was very knowledgeable about the area, it's history and wineries. The guide did skate a bit on the bombastic and haughty side. The first winery Emminent Domain was amazing with beautiful ambiance, views, and great wine 5/5. The second, Kenwright was not (2/5) with a distracted host, microscopic pours, and bland setting. The third, Beckham Estate was very nice (4/5) with pretty setting but the poor host was very stressed out about a variety of things that she cathartically released upon our group. Her stress set the tone :( Again, very small pours. Overall good transportation that needed some fine tuning in the communication but at a fair price with a selection of wineries that ranged from amazing to questionable choices. I would recommend; but would encourage Terran to choose wineries more similar to the quality of Eminent Domaine for all three.

Extremely good tour of wineries in the Willamette Valley with a fun, friendly and informative guide - Halle. Do it! The 3 wineries we visited and the wines tasted were diverse and very good. Thank you.

The tour was nice and the wineries that were chosen had delicious wine! The views were beautiful and our tour guide Cher was very knowledgeable! I just wish it had been more clear on the booking that the tasting fees were not included in the price! That caught us off guard.
