Willamette Valley
The Willamette Valley wine region, once known for its fruit orchards and nurseries, has become one of the United States' premier producers of cool-climate varietals like pinot noir. Start your wine country tour with hotel pickup from downtown Portland, and make your way by Mercedes Sprinter Van to three wineries carefully chosen by us. Portland is the perfect hub for exploring quiet backcountry roads through Oregon’s wine country, with more than half of the state’s 500 or so wineries located about 45 minutes away in the nearby Willamette Valley taking in beautiful vistas of gently rolling hills that give way to the expansive valley with views the Cascade Mountains. At each winery, taste a select group of varietals that will please even the most discerning palate, from reds like Pinot Noir Cabernet Franc to award-winning Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Rose, Riesling & more. ITINERARY Wineries visited in this region may vary based on day of the week and winery availability.

You go to 3 wineries for tastings. Each is unique yet small with spectacular views. Niko is a great tour guide that makes you feel special.

This was a great way to sample Oregon wines -- Nikko was a great tour guide. Arrived promptly and returned us when promised. He was very familiar with the area and the wineries we visited. First winery seemed surprised by our arrival. Some crackers to palate cleanse would have been nice. Second winery wowed us with its presentation and food spread. Very knowledgeable staff, too. 3rd winery was too busy to spend much time with us, but it had plenty of nice seating and a great view. Super way to fit a lot in a little time.

Niko made our tour very fun and informative! He was very flexible and willing to adjust our stops if needed. The views on the way to the wineries were stunning, despite the rainy weather. Niko managed our large group very well and even took pictures for us. He made it very enjoyable with his humor and jokes. The three wineries were all very different and each one provided a unique experience. I only wish we could stop at more! Definitely worth it if you like wine and are in the area! The only negative was that the bus couldn't pick us up at our B&B even though we were in the downtown area; they are only willing to pick you up from a hotel/hostel in the downtown Portland area.
