The Willamette Valley wine region, once known for its fruit orchards and nurseries, has become one of the United States' premier producers of cool-climate varietals like pinot noir. Start your wine country tour with hotel pickup from downtown Portland, and make your way by Mercedes Sprinter Van to three wineries carefully chosen by us. Portland is the perfect hub for exploring quiet backcountry roads through Oregon’s wine country, with more than half of the state’s 500 or so wineries located about 45 minutes away in the nearby Willamette Valley taking in beautiful vistas of gently rolling hills that give way to the expansive valley with views the Cascade Mountains. At each winery, taste a select group of varietals that will please even the most discerning palate, from reds like Pinot Noir Cabernet Franc to award-winning Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Rose, Riesling & more. ITINERARY Wineries visited in this region may vary based on day of the week and winery availability.

Evan was a great tour guide. Pete’s Mountain and Twill were great stops. Informative and enjoyable. We had really nice company on the tour...made some new friends!

This was a great tour. We visited 3 wineries which were beautiful. Heather was a fantastic tour guide. She's very knowledgeable about the wines and the wineries. Montinore was the first stop. Sounds Italian but it isn't. It was named for "Montana in Oregon." Owner is from Montana. Very many varieties of wines. The wines are very clean without additives. They are not Certified Organic but are produced in a very organic manner. You can purchase wines to take back but we had no weight left in our bags for the flight home. Alaska Airlines allows you to take wine back for free so if you can fly Alaska, that is a plus. Cost of tour includes the wine flights at each winery--5 or 6 different wines. At the last one, David Hill, there was also a charcuterie plate for us. It was a relaxing afternoon at three beautiful wineries. Highly recommend! Oregon wines are delicious.
