Willamette Valley
The Willamette Valley wine region, once known for its fruit orchards and nurseries, has become one of the United States' premier producers of cool-climate varietals like pinot noir. Start your wine country tour with hotel pickup from downtown Portland, and make your way by Mercedes Sprinter Van to three wineries carefully chosen by us. Portland is the perfect hub for exploring quiet backcountry roads through Oregon’s wine country, with more than half of the state’s 500 or so wineries located about 45 minutes away in the nearby Willamette Valley taking in beautiful vistas of gently rolling hills that give way to the expansive valley with views the Cascade Mountains. At each winery, taste a select group of varietals that will please even the most discerning palate, from reds like Pinot Noir Cabernet Franc to award-winning Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Rose, Riesling & more. ITINERARY Wineries visited in this region may vary based on day of the week and winery availability.

Good fun! I loved our tour guide, Jerry. She was engaging and interesting. We visited a good variety of vineyards.
Easy pick up at the hotel. I would recommend for sure!

We visited three small wineries. Jerri was our tour guide and was knowledgeable and nice. My main complaint was at the second winery we visited-Blizzard. The tour advertised that we would be served a meat and cheese tray at the second winery. We were seated at three small tables but the hostess only brought out 2 small trays with not much of anything on them. The third table asked for a tray and the hostess picked the one up off our table and gave it to them. We had only tasted one or two things on the tray. The couple at the third table was nice and gave the tray back to us after sampling a couple of things. I couldn't believe they didn't provide a tray for each table. I thought it was extremely rude to pick up the tray off of our table and give to them instead of going back to the kitchen and getting another tray. We paid a lot for the tour and since this was the only winery serving food I expected enough for each person on the tour.

A small tour group van works well. We like the ability to get into places cars can without the big bus hassle. The Wineries visited hit the mark, varied and the Driver/ Wine expert knew his stuff about the region and tasting. We especially liked the first stop at Tresori because it was a smaller size operation without that large Corporate feel to from another on this trip . Took home the Honeymoon Pinot , yumm See photo taken.
