On our tour, we'll see a waterfall (frozen during our snowy months), we'll drive up the famous Trail Ridge Road as far as it is opened for the season, if conditions allow, walk around a frozen Bear Lake or Sprague Lake, and you'll also visit the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center at the end of your tour. Minimum of 2 guests.

*Micro spikes will be used instead of snowshoes and are included for your tour to keep you safe while walking on icy surfaces.

We are only able to offer hotel pickup for guests in Estes Park or the small surrounding towns. If you're not staying near Estes Park, we can meet you at the free parking garage for the Estes Park Visitor Center for pickup.

What To Expect
1
Rocky Mountain National Park
Our winter tour, starting in Estes Park, is all about taking a beautiful drive into the snow-covered Rocky Mountain National Park with a small snow / icy hike around Bear Lake (if conditions allow). We'll take you as high up Trail Ridge Road as the weather allows. You'll see frozen lakes, beautiful meadows, and wildlife. Your entrance into the Rocky Mountain National Park is included!
2
Alluvial Fan
The second stop on your guided tour is the beautiful frozen Alluvial Fan waterfall. Your driver will give you the interesting history of this geological feature.
3
Trail Ridge Road
During the winter months, the famous Trail Ridge Road is usually closed past Many Parks Curve, but your driver will take you as far up the road as possible to see parts of the National Park from above.
4
Sprague Lake
If conditions do not allow for snowshoeing at Bear Lake, your guide will instead take you to snowshoe around the equally beautiful Sprague Lake.
5
Bear Lake
If conditions allow, the main destination of your guided tour is the popular Bear Lake. This beautiful area is much more peaceful during the winter off-season months. Your guide will snowshoe with you around a frozen Bear Lake, where there are many beautiful photo spots.
6
Beaver Meadows Visitor Center
At the end of your guided tour, you'll make a stop at the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center to purchase souvenirs and get your National Park Passport stamped!

Riley was fantastic! I was very timid about going on Trails Ridge Road but Riley was reassuring and very patient. We got to the top - the Alpine Visitor Center - and it was well worth the effort! Riley knew the best places to find various species and we saw a coyote with 9 pups, marmot, chipmunks, and even the elusive pika! Riley entertained us with great stories about things that happened in the Rocky Mountain National Park over the years; both natural and man-made. He also offers pickup at your hotel and delivers you back there, which is an appreciated bonus. I recommend this tourā€¦ entertaining and informative with lots of wildlife.

Riley was an awesome tour guide. He promptly picked us up at our condo on Fall River and showed us the park! Trail Ridge Road was closed which was a big disappointment but Riley more than made up for it by showing us some of the best parts of the park, taking us on a hike and seeking out tons of wildlife; bighorn sheep, elk, deer and tons of elk. He taught us a lot of the history of the park in addition to interesting stories of Estes and RMNP. We highly recommend this tour.

Riley was a great guide! He was knowledgable and personable. It was so nice to tour RMNP and not worry about the driving.
