We had a great experience with our guide Dune at River Rats. We chose the extreme experience for two adults and two adventurous 9 and 10 year olds. The extreme experience uses smaller boats and takes more adventurous lines than the standard boats. The trip consisted of mostly class 2 and 3 rapids, with two or three class 4s. Our older and most daring kid was offered the chance to “ride the bull” and climb on the nose of the raft, go over a rapid known to have deep water, and (much to her delight) was bucked off the raft. Overall a great experience!

We had a fantastic trip on the river with Kevin as our guide. As a family of five ranging in age from 9-46 and our first time trying it, we LOVED this adventure. A great family outing while visiting Tennesee.
