Our Twilight Tour is a 4 to 5 mile journey and usually takes about 3 hours. After a brief orientation with your guide, the group will paddle along the shore of Yellowstone Lake, North America's Largest High Alpine Lake! Depending on weather conditions and the group ability, our guides will safely escort the group to West Thumb Geyser Basin. After touring the Geyser Basin, where dozens of geothermal features are visible above and below the water's surface, we will return along the same route, stopping for refreshment and a chance to explore along the shore of the lake, arriving back at our Launch Point in Grant Marina before the sun sets. Return time may vary depending on group size, weather, fitness, and of course the time the sunsets.

Maddy & Dillon were great! Non-strenuous 6 mile journey! I was nervous about not having a wetsuit because it was so cold (32 degrees) but it ended up being just fine. (Note, bring your own wet suit if you want one). Also bring layers if going in the a.m. Tour says 3 hours but we ended up taking about 4. I loved that we got that extra time in the water! Obviously that’s not a guarantee of the extra time but they went at the pace of the group which was appreciated! 😁

Great guide, grateful for a sunny day but a bit windy. We were offered a cancellation because of the wind but opted to muscle through it for the experience. It was was wonderful to be so close to the boiling geysers from a lake view. Well worth it! Did this kayak trip near the end of the season (mid Sep) and hypothermia was a concern (I’m just a 98 lb twig) but guide had a lot of emergency stuff with him so I was not worried upon departure. Would definitely recommend and glad we did the evening trip since the morning temp was in the 30’s. Recommend rain pants because your legs will get dripped on & wet for a couple of hours. Burrrr.
