Access to the Sequoia Grove can be difficult during winter months, generally October through April, and other activities may be substituted at the discretion of the guide
During winter months, temperatures in Yosemite can vary drastically to the ones in San Francisco. Therefore, it is recommend to wear winter clothes, especially shoes or boots with rubber soles and treads
California law requires tour guests to bring a car safety seat for all children under 8 years and under 4' 9" (1.4 meters) in height. Any guest that does not provide their child's safety seat at the time of the tour and does not inform the tour operator may not be allowed to board the tour and will not be subject to refund.
As tour sizes vary, transportation is in a 13-passenger van or up to a 41-passenger tour bus
Tour makes stops at approximately 8:30am for breakfast, 1pm for lunch and on the trip back for dinner. Meals are not included

The Giant Sequoias Grove is located at a higher elevation and the hike is dependent on trail conditions, especially from October through May. Ice and snow might make the trail unsafe to hike. The decision of whether it is safe to go on the hike will be made on a day by day basis. Therefore, a visit cannot be guaranteed. However, while the trail might be closed, guests get to spend more time in Yosemite Valley. There you can see all the other great sights Yosemite has to offer, including El Capitan, Inspiration Point, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and more.

Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias

Tuolumne Grove is a sequoia grove located near Crane Flat in Yosemite National Park. It is about 16 miles west of Yosemite Village on Tioga Pass Road. The grove contains many conifers, including a few Sequoiadendron giganteum as well as Abies concolor and Pinus lambertiana. Weather permitting

Due to the smoke visibility is very bad. This is a long day, pick up 6:30, back 9:30. We saw the lake and had 1 hr 20 at red wood trees. Most of the day is on the bus, with poor air conditioning so the driver had to do his best to open the hatch in the roof. The bus is not like a European coach so be warned it is not comfortable. The driver and guide was fantastic and did his absolute best during a difficult day.

My wife and I had a great day discovering Yosemite and its Giant Sequoias. We got to see a lot of different parts of the park and had free time to swim/walk around the park also. Our guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Worth the trip!

We took this tour from San Francisco in July with Geno. It began with hotel pick up about 6:45 am, and we got back to our hotel around 10pm. Geno was a good driver and was very knowledgeable --delivering facts and stories throughout the way there. Unfortunately, this was just after the Ferguson fire began, and Yosemite Valley was full of smoke so it was hard to see much in the valley when we first arrived (totally not the tour's fault). By the late afternoon, the smoke had lifted a little and we could see the mountains better --despite the haze, the trip was still worth it. We had small children with us (youngest was 5) and the kids had lots of fun. Plus, the trip didn't seem that long since we stopped quite a bit. We had the most amount of time off of the bus at Yosemite Falls. One of the highlights was a stop at Treasure Island on the way back for an amazing view of San Francisco at night. Thanks Geno for a great tour!
