I was totally disappointed with the tour. The itenerery was changed the day before due to wildfire and we were assured it was safe.
The points we were taken to yesterday not measure up to the original itinerary I paid for.
We had breathing problems due to smoke and almost had no visibility. At the last point, there were actually ashes flying around and sticking to our clothes. Please also check with other passengers in the tour if you want to validate any of the issues I have listed.
This was really dangerous and they should have cancelled the tour on July 31.

The trip had to skip the Yosemite Valley unfortunately but we still experienced amazing rock formations, a lake and the Giant Sequoias grove. I'd like to go back and see the Valley in the future.
Two minor things to mention; the pickup stated a certain time early in the morning but apparently that's when pickups begin at the first hotel and we were one of the last hotels so we thought the bus was late and/or not coming. Nearly an hour later it showed up (not late if you understand what was really going on). This could be a disconnect between Viator and the tour operator Extranomical.
Lastly, we did experience a good amount of editorializing/politicizing from the tour guide; while this might be normal for the California experience, our family prefers more of a

A long trip to Yosemite, but completely worth it! There's a stop half way for snacks and water. Yosemite is so beautiful. We only wish we could have staying there for a night or three!
