Access to the Sequoia Grove can be difficult during winter months, generally October through April, and other activities may be substituted at the discretion of the guide
During winter months, temperatures in Yosemite can vary drastically to the ones in San Francisco. Therefore, it is recommend to wear winter clothes, especially shoes or boots with rubber soles and treads
California law requires tour guests to bring a car safety seat for all children under 8 years and under 4' 9" (1.4 meters) in height. Any guest that does not provide their child's safety seat at the time of the tour and does not inform the tour operator may not be allowed to board the tour and will not be subject to refund.
As tour sizes vary, transportation is in a 13-passenger van or up to a 41-passenger tour bus
Tour makes stops at approximately 8:30am for breakfast, 1pm for lunch and on the trip back for dinner. Meals are not included

The Giant Sequoias Grove is located at a higher elevation and the hike is dependent on trail conditions, especially from October through May. Ice and snow might make the trail unsafe to hike. The decision of whether it is safe to go on the hike will be made on a day by day basis. Therefore, a visit cannot be guaranteed. However, while the trail might be closed, guests get to spend more time in Yosemite Valley. There you can see all the other great sights Yosemite has to offer, including El Capitan, Inspiration Point, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls and more.

Tuolumne Grove of Giant Sequoias

Tuolumne Grove is a sequoia grove located near Crane Flat in Yosemite National Park. It is about 16 miles west of Yosemite Village on Tioga Pass Road. The grove contains many conifers, including a few Sequoiadendron giganteum as well as Abies concolor and Pinus lambertiana. Weather permitting

We just returned from a week stay in San Francisco 3/29/18 - 4/5/18. What a fantastic city! Wanting to spend time in Yosemite we booked the San Francisco to Yosemite tour with Extranomical. Luck has it we were set to travel with Phil Siegel as our tour guide. This was truly an amazing experience. His enthusiasm, obvious knowledge and natural ability to guide through story as well as refreshing kindness making sure every passenger engaged in the journey. May it be needing the perfect picture, offering water or making sure the temperature was just right on the bus itself. Phil was constantly considering the needs of the group and individuals. Being fellow Wolverines we will certainly always remember his keen ability to make memories. Not only will we recommend Extranomical but specifically Phil Siegel. Thank you Phil! Above and beyond!

If you have any reservations about this trip, don't! It was wonderful! Some of the negative reviews had me worried, but the trip far exceeded our expectations. Phil was our guide and I couldn't imagine anyone better. He has the best sense of humor and made the trip even better. Unfortunately we weren't able to do the hike to the Giant Sequoias because of ice, but we were able to spend extra time in the park. My sister, my cousin and I traveled together and none of us had been to Yosemite, so we weren't quite sure what to expect but it was everything that we wanted it to be. Phil knew where to take us to get the best views and get the most out of our time.
