Isn't what was advertised. Basically pet a couple of puppies, then mount a small atv and get ’pulled’ (engine is on) around a dirt track for 10mins. Then back on the coach for the hour long drive back.

We are sorry that you didn't have a great time on our tour. However, I feel that we don't mislead in any direction about the experience. Wether you bought online from our website, or directly at one of our store fronts, we have both pictures and videos playing that show the exact experience. Dog mushing is done on a dirt track, dog sledding is done on the snow with with a sled that is only accessible by Helicopter thus making it very expensive. We always spend an hour at dog camp between puppy village, the ride, and the demonstration it takes an hour to go through the process. The reason the motor is on at Michelles camp is because unlike most dog mushing tours her track isn't a flat track that you just get pulled around in a circle and done. She actually created a course that goes up and down hills, around some lakes, through the trees etc making it a more enjoyable course. However, because of this she does use a "motor assist" technique when coming up the hill as to not hurt the dogs from pulling too much weight. These are her actual race dogs in training and also her best friends and basically children. This is why she will use the motor when ascending uphills. And granted it is approximately one hour back to town but it is through the beautiful British Columbia, Yukon Territory as well as the Famous White Pass. We take people three times farther than the train, allow people to get out for photo stops, and include a great experience at Michelles camp all for less than the price of a single train ticket up the white pass. We are pretty confident that we do a great job and give people a great experience in Skagway as most reviews state. I hope this helps you to better understand your tour and puts your mind at ease. If you still feel that you didn't get what you what you paid for then please contact us directly and I would be happy to work with you and make sure you are taken care of.

We took our 9-year-old grandson Daniel with us on this excursion, and he told his parents later that he will always remember this day! Mikey was our guide, and he went the extra mile for us from the moment we met. We made numerous stops for fun and photo ops including a waterfall, rock climbing, lakes, and of course, the visit to the Tutshi Sled Dog summer camp. There we met the Alaskan huskies raised by Michelle and Ed and their crew. The pups provided rowdy fun, and the adult teams were excited to be harnessed and were raring to go on our ride. We learned about the Iditarod and the Yukon Quest that these mushers enter, and about the equipment and training that goes into these races. This is an authentic experience (as opposed to a Disney-style experience), and we highly recommend it. A special shout-out to Mikey for all of his stories, his joy for life, and a super-fun day!

I Booked a private tour for my group of 10. We wanted to be able to stop when we wanted. This was a great tour which was lead by our tour guide Mikey. We got to go to the dog mushing camp, Yukon Territory, see many waterfalls & wildlife. Mikey was GREAT, he went above and beyond for us and we saw some great sights. This was our best shore excursion of our whole trip, MIKEY IS THE BOMB.
