I was nervous about having booked a cruise excursion outside of the cruise line but I'm so glad I did. It was a smaller group and much more personal. The guide, Harry, did a great job reassuring us that we wouldn't miss the ship and was helpful before and after the trip. The dogs were the stuff of dreams. The scenery amazing. We stopped in a bunch of places on the way up and the way down to take pictures and experience the journey. We arrived back into town with enough time to explore. All in all, i couldn't recommend it more.

This was a great tour and I would highly recommend it to anyone that wants to get a good overview of the Skagway region and a better understanding of dog sledding, and the summer sled ride was a blast!

My husband and I were traveling with our three children, spouses and seven grandchildren. We had our own private van and our guide was Mike. He was a terrific guide from beginning to end and definitely enhanced our enjoyment of this trip. He obviously loves the Alaskan outdoors and his enthusiasm was contagious. The drive to the dog sledding farm was amazing with beautiful scenery and a couple of photo opportunities along the way. (He is also a willing and talented photographer!) We all enjoyed meeting and learning about the dogs and were not at all disappointed that the dog sled ride was on dirt and not snow! Highly recommend this outing.
