Took the 8am tour as our Ship was leaving mid afternoon. It was a little dismal day in Skagway and we had been there before so this tour worked well. Zac and Harry were our driver and guide. Learned many things on the way to the Musher camp. One of the nice things when we got there was no big tour buses, got to meet and play with two different ages of puppies all very friendly. Then we got to ride in the specially adapted ATV with no engine that the dogs pulled, this is how they trained them for the Iditarod, the dogs were so excited and well cared for. Very interesting life style,

This tour was wonderful. The weather was great and the staff at the sledding site were wonderfully informative - and there to show us what they love to do. The dogs were amazing, and especially playing with the puppies. The dogs pulling the ATV's were outstanding and impressive.

Highly recommend this tour. Meeting up with them was easy as there were two options, meet at the port or wander into town and find their office. We decided to avoid the mess at the port and took the short walk to the office. The bus was top notch and our driver/guide combo (Zac and Harry) were outstanding. Harry has a very good relationship with the sled dog camp owners and provides unique perspective as your guide. You will pass thru US customs, which is very simple (remember your passport). We were the first group to the sled dog camp which made for a very good interaction with dogs. You do get the opportunity to get pulled by a team (dry land, no snow in summer) and you can ask questions to mushers who have performed in the Iditarod and Yukon Quest. After leaving the camp, you do get several great photo ops including the iconic Yukon sign, welcome to British Columbia, and welcome to Alaska signs. Great tour and well worth the price.
