Overview

Take a stunning trip into the Yukon Territory in comfort and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Look for wildlife and stop at scenic viewpoints on your way to Iditarod racer, Michelle Phillips' Mushers Camp. Once arrived at the destination, you will have plenty of time to hang out with some adorable Alaskan Husky puppies, explore the grounds and go for an exciting dogsled ride through the Yukon wilderness. A current valid passport is required on the day of travel. Guests who do not have their passports present at the time of departure will not be allowed on the tour and are not entitled to a refund

Not wheelchair accessible (Collapsible wheelchairs may be able to be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them board and disembark and the tour operators have been given adequate notification) The tour is collapsible wheelchair accessible however, be prepared for uneven, natural surfaces at the sites visited which may be difficult for those with walking disabilities or for those using a collapsible wheelchair.

Our guide was both informative and humorous. He has a mix of historical stories and funny anecdotes to make the trip to the musher camp a great time. The time at the musher cap was just right with more than enough one to one interaction with the puppies and a fabulous ride with our pack of dogs

We are a family of 5 with two young kids. Our original plan was to take the helicopter to Denver ice field followed by dog sledding. However, due to extremely hot summer, most of the ice field has melted and the tour was cancelled. As our kids were looking forward to dog sledding, we booked this camp. Having read the reviews, we know this is not really sledding (the title is a little misleading but we knew when we booked) but as as we are more into dogs than sledding, it was not an issue for us. Our kids enjoyed both playing with the puppies as well as the sitting in the RV being led by some very energetic huskies. On our way back, we stopped in some beautiful spots (including one with “Welcome to Yukon” sign), lake and waterfall. All in all, it was good value for money.
