What To Expect

Zion-Mt. Carmel Tunnel

If you aren't already going into the main part of the park on your own we can drive in and give you some history of the park and its geology. We will stop at the best pullouts for some awesome pics. This drive through the park is on the Zion-Mount Carmel Highway and includes the switchbacks and mile-long tunnel. We can take a short hike up a sandy wash to see some little-known petroglyphs. There is also a good chance of seeing some of the Desert Bighorn Sheep that live in the Eastern side of the Park.

Grafton

Grafton is the most photographed ghost town in the West for a reason, it's beautiful. We will tell you the harrowing story of the people who settled this town. Their story is more interesting than any of the movies filmed here, the most well-known being "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."

Petroglyphs walk n trip to Ghost town. We are from out of town n definitely were unaware of much of UT and Mormon history, and enjoyed much of what our guide provided. She also knew a great deal important park issues (flash flooding, tunnel history) n even took us up to the Kabob plateau and talked about flora, fauna.

My husband and I truly enjoyed our guided tour with Candace and her son Hunter. Both of them are extremely familiar with the territory, having lived there for many, many years. With them, we saw many amazing sites. Candice will work to structure a tour with your interests in mind.
