Zipping is a thrilling adventure with a bird’s eye view! Families, friends, and groups of all kinds love soaring through the green hills of Fontanel, through the trees in our majestic old growth forest on 9 separate zip lines covering about 1.5 miles of terrain. Zippers sail through the air on steel cables, secured in a safety harness and attached to a zip pulley system. Zip tours operate year-round. Experience zipping during every season!

Originally built in 1988 for country music superstar Barbara Mandrell, Fontanel was envisioned to be a place of peace and harmony set in the beautiful Whites Creek Valley of Nashville, Tennessee. In 2010 its doors were opened to the public. Since then, Fontanel has become one of Nashville’s premier music and lifestyle destinations.

Dress code: Sturdy & Secure Footwear Required, no heeled shoes / flip flops / wimpy sandals, no dresses or skirts.

We run zip tours rain or shine. We cancel only because of high winds or lightning.
Zip lines vary in length and height: up to 1000 feet long, and about 85 feet high.

We had so much fun challenging and treating ourselves to this ‘first time’ experience. Our guides took excellent care of us. I was a bit nervous initially, but they we’re great at making me feel at ease. Loved the combination of enjoying nature, hiking, and soaring through the forested area — highly recommend it!

We went on Labour Day Monday, so it was a little quiet, none of the buildings were open. We were in a group of 8 that took us in a van with two guides to our starting point. It was a fun time and the guides top priority was our safety. None of the eight of us had ever ziplined before. There is a bit of strenuous walking to get from one line to the next. The guides explained what to expect at each spot, we zipped down 8 lines, two reaching 30-35 mph. They explain that on those lines, that they throw out a blocker to slow you down. I would definitely do this again. Visiting from Canada!
