Zipping is a thrilling adventure with a bird’s eye view! Families, friends, and groups of all kinds love soaring through the green hills of Fontanel, through the trees in our majestic old growth forest on 9 separate zip lines covering about 1.5 miles of terrain. Zippers sail through the air on steel cables, secured in a safety harness and attached to a zip pulley system. Zip tours operate year-round. Experience zipping during every season!

Originally built in 1988 for country music superstar Barbara Mandrell, Fontanel was envisioned to be a place of peace and harmony set in the beautiful Whites Creek Valley of Nashville, Tennessee. In 2010 its doors were opened to the public. Since then, Fontanel has become one of Nashville’s premier music and lifestyle destinations.

Dress code: Sturdy & Secure Footwear Required, no heeled shoes / flip flops / wimpy sandals, no dresses or skirts.

We run zip tours rain or shine. We cancel only because of high winds or lightning.
Zip lines vary in length and height: up to 1000 feet long, and about 85 feet high.

Two hours of flying fun! Colton and Mason clearly love their job and make this the best adventure even for the timid. Evidently serious about safety, but make sure each adventurer flies as fast as they are comfortable. Met cool random strangers with kids...these guides were awesome with everyone.

Total time from start to finish was just under 2 hours. The guides were great & had a sense of humor that made the experience even more fun. There is some strenuous walking up rough terrain that may be difficult for some, but those in average shape will do ok. Girls, don’t bother doing hair & makeup before coming. You have to wear a safety helmet & despite being in the shade of the woods, we were hot & sweaty. For this reason, I’m really glad we booked the first tour of the day! I wanted to be able to take pictures of the experience but was worried about dropping my phone after reading another review. The guides encouraged photos & videos. They said the only thing they have seen people lose is there shoes on a landing! Lol Some of the landings were rougher than I expected. Don’t wear your favorite clothes! One girl did rip a hole in her pants sliding to a stop. Would definitely do it again!

This was a lot of fun, we really enjoy ourselves. Even though I was pretty afraid at first, the guides were very encouraging and helpful. I'd definitely do this again. The only problem was there is a scheduling conflict w/this site and them, but we worked it out.
