Zipping is a thrilling adventure with a bird’s eye view! Families, friends, and groups of all kinds love soaring through the green hills of Fontanel, through the trees in our majestic old growth forest on 9 separate zip lines covering about 1.5 miles of terrain. Zippers sail through the air on steel cables, secured in a safety harness and attached to a zip pulley system. Zip tours operate year-round. Experience zipping during every season!

Originally built in 1988 for country music superstar Barbara Mandrell, Fontanel was envisioned to be a place of peace and harmony set in the beautiful Whites Creek Valley of Nashville, Tennessee. In 2010 its doors were opened to the public. Since then, Fontanel has become one of Nashville’s premier music and lifestyle destinations.

Dress code: Sturdy & Secure Footwear Required, no heeled shoes / flip flops / wimpy sandals, no dresses or skirts.
Weight Recommendations: 50 – 250 pounds.
We run zip tours rain or shine. We cancel only because of high winds or lightning.
Zip lines vary in length and height: up to 1000 feet long, and about 85 feet high.

It was a great time! Lots of fun for our first zip line experience. 8 zip lines and they all had their perks. The guides were very helpful and fun! I Definitely recommend this to anyone who needs something different to do while in Nashville. Overall, it was AWESOME. Make sure to bring cash with you for tip (you will want to after how much fun they provide) we made the mistake of leaving our $ at our room. 😢😳

A group of us went zip lining, many for the first time and it was a great experience! The staff was amazing (Shea and co-worker, sorry I forgot your name). They made the experience very fun and they are really good at their jobs! I would highly recommend and will be back for sure! Thank you from Canada!

Zipline is challenging even for people who have been ziplining before. There are 8 lines included. The walk to each line can be challenging. Wear sturdy closed toe shoes. You are climbing in the mountain so will be uneven surfaces and slippery. If new to ziplining or fear of heights the guides are knowledgeable and helpful (and funny). It was a 90 degree day and bright sun.... but lines are shaded by forest. Bug spray a good idea. If bringing a phone, keys, anything important....make sure zippered into a pocket. Loose items in pockets may/will fall out. No purses or things in hands. You'll need hands to hold onto lines. Sun glasses not needed. If you have health issues I'd skip this activity. Added plus, you get to see Barbara Mandrel's former Log Home/Mansion. It isn't accessible or open to public, but zipline guests can see exterior of home. Second added plus, clean bathrooms available before and after tour. Woods are your only option if you have to go during tour. Highly recommended for a fun adventure if in Nashville area.
