Overview

Zipping is a thrilling adventure with a bird’s eye view! Families, friends, and groups of all kinds love soaring through the green hills of Fontanel, through the trees in our majestic old growth forest on 9 separate zip lines covering about 1.5 miles of terrain. Zippers sail through the air on steel cables, secured in a safety harness and attached to a zip pulley system. Zip tours operate year-round. Experience zipping during every season!

Originally built in 1988 for country music superstar Barbara Mandrell, Fontanel was envisioned to be a place of peace and harmony set in the beautiful Whites Creek Valley of Nashville, Tennessee. In 2010 its doors were opened to the public. Since then, Fontanel has become one of Nashville’s premier music and lifestyle destinations.

We run zip tours rain or shine. We cancel only because of high winds or lightning.
Zip lines vary in length and height: up to 1000 feet long, and about 85 feet high.

My friends and I decided to try zip lining while we stayed in Nashville. It was sooo worth it!! Not only did we really enjoy our first time on the lines, but also our tour guides, Indiana and Lisa, were amazing!! I would highly recommend going. Don't forget to take cash to tip your tour guides!! They make the experience so much better!

Abby, Natalie, and Davey were incredible guides. They were so much fun and really made our larger group feel at ease. We had 13 college students and 2 advisors on a spring break trip and this was such a great stop! They were exciting and fun, and thoroughly explained each element we were about to step onto. Honestly the guides really helped sell the experience. I loved that each zipline was different, so it always felt like a new element every time we stepped onto a platform. If we come through Nashville again next year, this is definitely on the list!

The zipline tour was really fun! Our tour guides Cameron and Anna were funny and did a good job and you should go if you want a fun time.
