They will visit Africa, Asia, the Amazon, and Australia. Zoo Miami consists of 340 developed acres with more than 3,000 animals and over 1,200 plants and trees.  This admission ticket allows you to go straight to the gate, and for an additional fee guests can feed giraffes, or parrots, . Guests will have animal encounters, meet the keepers during scheduled 'Meet the Zookeeper' talks throughout the day, and much more.

At 'Amazon and Beyond', experience a rainforest, jaguars, anacondas, bats, venomous snakes (behind glass exhibits, of course), rare frogs, harpy eagles, and a 48,000-gallon aquarium.

Be sure to visit the 'Florida: Mission Everglades' exhibit. Here you’ll have the opportunity to come face-to-face with some of the incredible animals that call Florida home.

We enjoyed seeing all the animals. It was my first time seeing flamingos and foxes. Our favorite animal was the giraffes. The environment was clean, animals were groomed, and the environment(trees, forest, handmade structures) was beautiful.

We purchased the VIP Zoo Tour in which you are guided through the zoo in a golf cart with a tour guide. Our guide was Alexander. The VIP tour experience was GREAT! The golf cart was large and comfy (there were 2 of us plus our guide) and Alexander was a phenomenal guide! His knowledge of not only every animal in the zoo, but also the zoo itself, is VERY impressive. He offered infomation at each animal exhibit that we stopped at and he made sure to give us enough time to take pics and/or ask questions. The VIP tour was 2 hours and we covered a lot of the zoo in that time. The zoo itself is beautiful, clean, and the exhibits are well maintained (and I have visited The National Zoo in DC, the Bronx Zoo in NY, and the Philadelphia Zoo in the past so I can can compare them). The animal exhibits are large and most animals were in view during our tour. The tiger was very active during our visit and the river otters were very entertaining with their antics! Lunch was very good at Oasis Grill and all zoo employees that we encountered were very friendly. We will definitely return for another visit. The zoo is very large, so the VIP tour was a great way to see many exhibits!! We were definitely treated like VIPs during our tour!!

If you want to see hundreds of iguanas and dozens of squirrels, then this is the zoo for you. First time to Miami Zoo in years and wow how it has changed. Worn down and overpriced. Other than the giraffe exhibit, every major exhibit either had no animals or ones that were so far and hidden you couldn't see them. They have tons of different pig and antelope species on display, but good luck on seeing a gorilla, big cat or even monkeys playing. The staff constantly tell you it is because of the heat (80 degrees when we went). Well Miami is over 80 degrees 9-10 months out of the year. Sorry that argument doesn't hold weight with me. First I have been there in the past on 90 degree weather days and there were more animals on display. Second, how does that argument work when there is literally no Crocodiles on display in the very cool water based crocodile exhibit? Something is wrong at this zoo. So in summary, go only in December-February, bring binoculars, $200+ and be ready to see more iguanas than all other animals combined.
