Overview

Zoo Miami is the ideal place for an individual, a couple, or an entire family to spend a day. As a matter of fact, visitors can travel the world in one day. They will visit Africa, Asia, the Amazon, and Australia. Zoo Miami consists of 340 developed acres with more than 3,000 animals and over 1,200 plants and trees. This admission ticket allows you to go straight to the gate, and for an additional fee guests can feed giraffes, or parrots, . Guests will have animal encounters, meet the keepers during scheduled 'Meet the Zookeeper' talks throughout the day, and much more.

At 'Amazon and Beyond', experience a rainforest, jaguars, anacondas, bats, venomous snakes (behind glass exhibits, of course), rare frogs, harpy eagles, and a 48,000-gallon aquarium.

Be sure to visit the 'Florida: Mission Everglades' exhibit. Here you’ll have the opportunity to come face-to-face with some of the incredible animals that call Florida home.

Terrible. Where are the few animals you have there. Are kidding me. In some areas there's none, others only 1. Stressed elephants 2. WHERE ARE THE CLEAR SIGNS TO TELL PEOPLE DIRECTIONS. NOT GOOD AT ALL. This place is as bad as the Miami sea aquarium.

An amazing zoo, huge enclosures. Especially went for the giraffe feeding for my partner. Extra special memory for her. Plenty of water fountains to refill our bottles and plenty of sprinklers for cooling off.

Too 3 Zoo’s in USA. We were delighted by the exhibits, reasonable cost, and easy to navigate signage given the tremendous size of the place. The only other zoos that rival this are DC and San Diego. We only had two hours which is not enough time. I think 3 hours assuming no lunch break is about right. You will get your 10,000 steps in but they did have peddle bikes and I think golf carts for rent. The only thing that would have made my wife and I happier would be grandchildren but we need to be a bit more patient with our kids on that front, lol!
