We really enjoyed our time at the zoo. The exhibits were well maintained, the animals were a sight to see and we even did a few rides. They built the new section for Australia which also included a covered playground area and a splash pad. If we brought suits we could have made a whole day out of our visit. The only thing I was disappointed in was the cost of the photos being that they weren’t real and it was all green screen. I asked if they take photos for behind the scenes and animal encounters and they confirmed yes. So, we decided to skips the cheesy photo for $30 and go back to experience all animal encounters and behind the scenes then choose one of those photos as our memory at the zoo with the real animals. We had a great time and we look forward to returning again!

I love the work you do with the Manatees. I could have spent all day watching the orangutans Manatees and pelicans. Really impressed by the zoo. Good gift shop as well.

It was disappointing. Many, many of the animal exhibits were empty the day we went (signs posted that they were out of habitat); most concessions closed. Was there when they opened at 9:30. For adults, was not worth the price. For families? Probably enjoyable when the weather is warm and the kids can enjoy the water features to cool off and the kiddie rides. The children share seemed to be having a good time. For adults without enjoying the wonder and play of children (which is a magnificent thing to behold), not so much. The Siamang primates put on a great show. Some animals without companions on their enclosures. No enrichment so seemingly a poor quality of life. Love the work they do with manatees. I see manatee frequently where I live and the work they do here to support the injured is amazing.
