Easy enough to get to from downtown Tampa, we used an Uber. A lovely, fairly tranquil spot with a wide variety of animals to watch. We went on a school day so some of the refreshment stands were shut. It was over 100°f on the day we visited, we could really have done with those stands being open. Some lovely interactive information boards for younger visitors to use are dotted around the zoo. We will definitely be visiting again when we get the chance.

It was a great time. It was so hot out, but the Zoo does a great job in keeping you cool and shaded. The animals were all out. We did two extra excursions with animals and have to say me and the family enjoyed every second.

We bought a year pass to enjoy the zoo with the grand baby. We always have a great time. Members parking is close and shaded.
