The Segway experience with captain Mike was fantastic! He was brilliant explaining how to use the Segway and the rules we needed to follow. The knowledge that Mike has about the city is astounding. It was my first time visiting the US so it was incredible to learn so much within the 2 hours myself and my colleague had! We both enjoyed it so much and found Mike very friendly and made sure we were safe at all times. I highly recommend doing this when in Chicago. Mike, thank you so much.

Seeing Chicago by Segway was fun and pretty easy. It was my first time on a Segway, and "Captain Segway" Mike was an entertaining and knowledgeable guide. He taught us and then helped us individually on the Segway; we practiced in a safe alley before leaving. It was a beautiful, blue, Memorial Day weekend, and the park was busy. Traveling by Segway is a cross between walking and biking; meaning, you can ride on the sidewalk, with the speed and comfort of biking, but with the ability to stop and follow pedestrians on the Chicago lakefront. I'm a lifetime Chicagoan and saw things that's I've never seen before, like statue installations, or saw things in a new way, that I've just passed & parked in my car before (like the other side of the Field Museum, Soldier Field, and the south side of Grant Park). My out-of-town guests and my husband and I all loved it. We will continue to take Segways in other cities. Some details: we parked at a parking garage across the street. We were all middle-aged adults in reasonable shape. You have to be able to stay standing for 2 hours with reasonable balance to ride a Segway.
