It's very practical to hire a tour such as this one to get to know Yosemite. It's great that they pick you up, take you everywhere and leave you back in San Francisco. It's very useful to have all meals solved and all hikes already organized. The tour guide was kind and provided us with interesting information. But the camping itself was a disaster. The camping site is literally over the route, you hear cars go by all night, it's very small, you are right beside all other campers, you camp over dirt (which is very uncomfortable), there's no signal of any kind nor WIFI, and it's overall an unpleasant experience. The restrooms and showers are okay and there's hot water, but everything else honestly sucks. It'd be great if they could find a camping site that provided you with the experience of camping and enjoying nature, being able to hear the birds and bugs, sleeping over grass, seeing the stars, enjoying a river or nearby water. I believe that's what all of us want when camping in Yosemite, not hearing cars, being covered in dirt and having no privacy at all. And it's very hot for camping in July, not recommended at all.
