I was recommended to Maverick by my co worker and I have to say it definitely lived up to its review. From booking a tour online to the easy check in and straight forward requirements made planning very hassle free. Our pilot was great and the entire experience is unbelievable. We were speechless as the floor dropped beneath us and we had a breath taking view of the canyon. This is a must do if you are visiting Grand Canyon. I highly recommend it!

At the spur of the moment, my friend and I️ decided to take a helicopter tour of the Grand Canyon with Maverick Helicopters. While on a day tour, with Detours of Phoenix, to Sedona and the GC the option to view the canyon was offered (for an additional fee) and we jumped at the chance. Having never flown in a helicopter, and always fearful, I️ decided “I️ only live once, so why not?!” WOW!!! What a ride! We couldn’t have asked for a better view of this beautiful natural wonder. Sean, our pilot, is professional, friendly, and reassuring. He is a former military helicopter pilot, which in my book is big deal in terms of skill (and Sean, thank you for your service). Before taking off, Sean told us about the helicopter, went over safety procedures. The ground crew assisted us in buckling up and with our headphones. Sean is quite knowledgeable of the Grand Canyon’s animal life, history and it’s many special sites, answered all our questions as we flew. The helicopter itself is top-notch. We were told that Mavericks fleet is the youngest in the area flying the Grand Canyon. Seats are comfortable. Large viewing areas to give the best views possible. We were fortunate to have had two of the front seats, and were able to take some great shots. The flight is 45 minutes in duration and we loved every minute of it! Thank you to Maverick and Sean for a great experience. (A side note... I️ really enjoyed the flights playlist - Top Gun’s theme song was among some of the tunes played as we flew. Nice touch!) Fantastic experience. Staff were great and our pilot was very knowledgeable. Building at the airport clearly marked. Departed right on time so don't be late for your scheduled flight.
