If you are visiting NY, you simply must do a 911 tour. This one is taken by New Yorkers, who's lives were touched in some way by the awful events of that day. The tour guide was excellent, and very knowledgeable. The museum itself is very sobering. We started at the bottom, which I'd recommend, and make your way up. As the bottom (although not suitable for young children) Is where you get to learn about the people who were in the towers or worked to help the aftermath of what happened that day.

The tour itself was very moving - the guide appeared to be very knowledgeable. I say appeared because unless one was standing directly in front of her, most of the time we could not hear what she was saying. She wore no microphone and spoke very fast. Apparently the company she works for does not provide them - a big fault! The museum and memorial were a very sobering and moving experience. Being with a smaller group is a definite advantage..

Amanda, the tour guide, did an excellent job. I would highly recommend this tour. Many more hours could have been spent in the museum
