Only on Hilton Head and only in Harbour Town can you sail aboard the real America's Cup, 12 meter, Stars & Stripes once skippered by the famous Dennis Connor. All trips take place under full sail. We only use our motor to get in and out of Harbour Town.

  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • We don't offer any infant rates for this trip as the tickets are a per person rate. All ages will need a ticket.
  • Stars & Stripes is USCG approved to carry up to 30 passengers, but since COVID we have limited public capacity to 20 passengers.
  • Private charters are available for Stars & Stripes. Please contact Vagabond Cruise if you are interested to learn more about this option.

A couple thoughts… 1. This tour was not on our agenda and wasn’t really of interest to me. We ended up doing this because my father in law loves all things nautical and sailing… Some members of our party booked this and I didn’t know all the information ahead of time. As mentioned in another review, you sit on pads for a good portion of the trip and it was really killing my back. It was nice to see the sunset though and after a while we could stand up so that was better. 2. We did the Stars and Stripes vagabond sunset tour and our crew was fantastic. Super personable, chatty… it was just like hanging out with friends. I think #2 is kind of the whole point… you’re out sailing with what seems like old friends, relaxing on the quiet waters, and enjoying the sunset. That in and of itself would be 5 stars! Captain Peter, Marissa, Luke, and Shelby… we love you guys! Thanks for being so wonderful!

We loved the captain and entire staff of this sailboat. They engaged us the entire journey with their knowledge of Hilton Head. This is absolutely hands down the best boat experience anywhere. Highly recommend.. we will book many times more due to the caliber of this captain and crew. Thank you all! The Grants and McGrails.

Was not expecting to be sitting on flat deck on 3 inch pads for 1.5hrs... we did nothibg but sail off shore and just sit in the sun. No food and drinks included. Purchase drinks only. No ice... no music... no guided tour... a quiet no music event we could have sat at the dock and did that.
