To receive your Alcatraz Island Ticket you must check into the Big Bus Visitor Center one day prior to the Alcatraz Tour date, or before 9am on the date of your Alcatraz Tour.

Your tour time will be assigned 5 days in advance of the tour date. Once a time is assigned we are not able to make any changes, please note your timed entry will be allocated by Alcatraz this will not be able to be personally selected
Hop-on Hop-off tour ticket is valid during operating hours for 48 hours after first use.

We were charged 450 for 3 adults (premium bus ticket plus alcatraz = 150 per person). We purchased the tickets directly through their website. We had various problems during our tour. 1. We NEVER received the bus vouchers in our emails (we also checked our spam to make sure). When we went to pick up the alcatraz voucher at pier 41 the guy told us we needed to redeem the bus tickets the day of use. The next day We downloaded the app to find a redemption center near us to redeem our tickets... we were looking for stop 6 but we couldn't find it because apparently it's INSIDE the Hilton hotel which we didn't know and of course it's not noted anywhere on the app.. so walk back to station 5 to talk to an agent... we get on the bus and on our way to the Golden gate Bridge there was a 5 car accident and we are sitting in traffic and the bus driver said he didn't know when we were going to move, we explained to him we had a reservation at 3 for alcatraz and he didn't really care and said we could get off and catch an uber instead of offering us a solution or at least a refund. We got off , caught an uber which charged us 22 bucks to go to the other side if the bridge. We catch another bus to pier 33 and that's when we noticed these people are charging DOUBLE for alcatraz as tickers are only 41 per adult.. .do the math...

There was a big accident in the Presidio area, which did lead to traffic and route changes. Our Alcatraz package includes other items, not just Alcatraz, which is why it does cost a little more. We do apologize for any inconvenience this has caused and strive to give a wonderful tour of our city.

What did I pay for Lame tour and not enough info on procedures and itineraries, vague responses to questions and timeline

We couldn’t find the location to redeem and there was no one to return any calls for weeks before arrival at big bus., however via tour people were good
