I'm so glad I booked this particular tour. I'd never been to Brooklyn before and it was the perfect, bite-sized adventure for the day. Brian was a spectacular host and guide, full of interesting stories and history, as well as a major foodie, as am I so we synched well. He entertained all my questions and chose some great neighborhood gems for quick, delicious bites. No matter your favorite type of cuisine or dessert, DUMBO has it all.
The DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights areas are vibrant and hip while still keeping their important histories alive. A lot of the old warehouses, shoreline and abandoned residences are coming back to life in a big way. It felt very residential as well as "startup" business professional at the same time. Luckily we had a beautiful, sunny spring day to take it all in.
Lastly, it's very easy to reach this tour, either by subway or ferry, which I used at the end to take a delightful, breezy 20 minute trip across the East River back into Manhattan when it was over.
I absolutely recommend this tour and Brian to get to know the City better!
