Great adventure! They accommodated our whole family for this rafting excursion. We’ve been on the same rafting trip with other companies but this is by far the most professional, yet fun experience we’ve had. Definitely recommend if you’re from the area or are visitors to this awesome area!

We actually stayed in a cabin on the property of a different rafting tour company, but they were sold out the day we were available to go rafting, so they recommended New Wave, and we are glad they did. I would NEVER go to another rafting company after the absolutely great experience we had on our trip. We are a family of 5 with kids from age 11 to 17 and this was our first ever rafting trip. We were a little concerned about the Canyon trip into actual Class 2-4 rapids with our 11 year old, but it was one of the greatest experiences we could have ever asked for. Our guide, Bobski...phenomenal! He has been rafting for over 20 years, and it is obvious. He knew the river like the back of his hand, explained every rapid to us, what to expect, and often exactly what he was doing. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the history of the river and the local area. Bobski made sure the kids felt safe and had a blast. This company has done their job to find the highest quality guides in the industry. What ever you are paying Bobski, it should be more! For us that day, he was the face of the company, and he did more to ensure return business and recommendations than any advertising could ever do. On top of that, every person we came in contact with from the minute we walked in the door until the minute we walked out were friendly, professional, and just quality people. We felt this company truly wanted to make sure we had the time of our life while there. There are numerous options for rafting adventures in the area, but you would be foolish to waste your time with anyone else but New Wave (and Bobski)!

Rafting the Nenana was one of the highlights of our 2 week trip to Alaska. Wookie, our driver, made sure we were warm and got us safely to and from the put-in and take-out on time. Peacock was our guide, and he took excellent care of my husband, twin boys, and me from making sure we were outfitted for warmth to giving us an awesome and informative ride through the canyon. When one of the twins didn’t want to be splashed, he made sure to move him to a new location in the raft and ensured he stayed dry the remainder of the trip. Also, I’ve been on a lot of rafting trips over the years, and Peacock’s safety speech is by far the BEST and most entertaining I’ve ever heard. He kept us laughing all day while educating us about the canyon at the same time. The whole family had a blast! If your family is looking for an adventure in Denali, I can’t recommend this family friendly rafting company enough! ❤️
