Cette excursion consiste à trouver les meilleurs endroits pour les lamantins et à utiliser nos kayaks transparents pour vous offrir la meilleure vue possible sans vous mouiller ! Crystal River est connue comme la «capitale mondiale des lamantins». Lors de cette visite, nous voulons que nos invités découvrent les lamantins dans leur habitat naturel. Crystal River est alimentée par des dizaines de sources naturelles, ce qui en fait un point chaud pendant les mois « les plus froids » de la Floride. Entre novembre et mars, des centaines de lamantins migrent vers les sources pour chercher refuge et rester au chaud. Nous ne pouvons pas contrôler où ils pourraient se trouver dans la région, mais nos guides expérimentés vous emmèneront là où ils sont le plus actifs ! Chris was fantastic and very patient. It was the end of the but we did wind up seeing 2 Manatee. He was as happy for us and we were happy to get to see the Manatee.

We're glad we did this tour and our guide Lacey did a nice job teaching us about the manatees and the unique local habitat. That said (and this is no reflection on Lacey or the tour company), the water was very crowded with gaggles of snorkelers, kayakers, and boats surrounding the poor manatees, thus detracting from the experience. Also, we didn't think that being in the clear-bottomed kayaks added much. All said, it was a fun way to spend a few hours, but I can't say it's a 'must-do'.

The factors at play like other companies, time of day/year, amount of manatees, etc. can impact your tour.
