Crystal River
This tour is ALL about finding the best manatee spots and utilizing our clear kayaks to give you the best viewing possible without getting wet! Crystal River is known as the “Manatee Capital of the World.” On this tour, we want our guests to experience Manatees in their natural habitat. Crystal River is fed by dozens of natural springs, which makes it is a hotspot during Florida’s “colder” months. Between November and March, hundreds of manatees migrate inland to the springs to seek refuge and stay warm. We can’t control where they might be in the area, but our experienced guides will take you to where they are most active! While manatees are our main focus of this tour, we often see dolphins, fish, turtles, birds, and more! This 2-2.5 hour guided adventure includes a relaxed paddle through Kings Bay to Hunter Springs, Jurassic Springs, and beyond in Crystal River. Check this paddle off your manatee bucket list! We launch at Kings Bay Park located at: 268 NW 3rd St, Crystal River, FL 34428

Due to the heat of the day/water our group opted to check out the springs since no manatees had been seen that day in their usual haunts. Turns out we saw a momma and her baby about halfway into our tour. Picture is of baby's tail. Great time paddling. The clear kayaks arent the best for seasoned kayakers they are more like short canoes but it's fun to see into the water through them. I recommend a blow up pillow for your bum too, the tailbone gets sore! I appreciate the boats are tandem so I could paddle my mom (not a teen) around and she could paddle if she felt a need. Our tour guide Lacy was very knowledgeable about the area and manatees. She tours on Fridays if you're interested. Highly recommend the tour and our tour guide!

Thank you so much for the 5 stars! We appreciate you writing about your experience and are so glad you were able to see a mama and baby manatee. We will definitely look into some options for more comfortable seats to protect the bum - thanks for the feedback! Hope to paddle with you again in the future!

We had Windsor as our guide! He was so laid back and chill. He catered to every guest and knew the greatest spots to find those ADORABLE floaty potatoes! If you can do this use this company! They are spot on!
