Dakota & Capt Lauren were absolutely amazing on our trip today! Because of Covid, all tours are private, which meant that my husband and I were the only two and were able to swim comfortably with the manatees! We even saw a momma nursing her baby, such an experience! Make sure you request them for your tour and rent their full face masks! The manatees are so enchanting and seeing a mom and baby interacting is especially wonderful. In 2021 , due to Covid, we are offering both private and semi-private tours to accommodate different needs. We do offer full face masks for rental, as well as boat coats if guests would like to use them. We came to crystal river at the very start of manatee season, so there were not tons of manatees to see yet, but our guides were very persistent on getting us into the water with manatees. We had an extended encounter with one that made the whole thing worth it. Was absolutely amazing to be in the water with this big, gentle creature. Our guides were very nice and personable. Made sure everyone felt comfortable and at ease. They took lots of pictures for us to look through and potentially purchase at the end. Would definitely recommend to others!

Depending on the time of year and temperature, the number of manatees that we may see can vary significantly. However, as you mention, even snorkeling with one can be an amazing experience. These gentle giants are so graceful, sweet and unique creatures. People experience seeing them in their element and fall in love. Many people decide that a "one time/bucket list" experience has to be repeated. Thank you again for visiting us and or the review, we really appreciate both.
