All I want to say is that I was super happy with the tour and the guides and the super friendly lady at the store. I felt very safe and I had a great time swimming with the manatees, and I am actually scared of water!!! They took pictures with an underwater camera and we purchased the pictures on a USB stick for a reasonable price. We got a lot of insider tips from them on where to eat and what to do in the area. If we were to go there again, I'd book a tour with them again, for sure.

Our staff love what they do, and it is our goal to have each guest have the best experience possible. Our guides and captains train hard to learn about manatees, the environment and the Nature Coast. The wet suits we provide, and the snorkel vests help make you buoyant and keep you warm. Plus our guides are there for your safety (and comfort in the water) as well as for your protection and that of the manatees. Crystal River is a terrific little town, and there is so much to do and see. We are always happy to share the joy and tips on our favorite restaurants, and places to enjoy! We hope to see you again! Even in summer Vince and Wendy found us a mommy and baby manatee. Wendy even carried my 6 year old baby on her back so she could see better. Amazing experience from beginning to end!

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. The manatees are totally amazing, aren't they? This time of year we mostly see the manatee Mom's and calves, with the occasional lone adolescent. The manatees who live in Kings Bay year round really enjoy the sea grass that is growing in the Bay. Vince and Wendy are great, and are there to make sure all of our guests and the manatees are safe, as well as hopefully being entertaining and sharing their knowledge about manatees, the region, and the history of Crystal River. As long as people are comfortable in the water, they generally have a great experience! For those who aren't, guests can also see the manatees from the boat, although it obviously won't be as "up close and personal". Dakota and Captain Jim were terrific. Knowledgeable, safe and fun! Dakota was great taking the lead with our youngest swimmer helping make sure he got to view the manatee. We will most definitely be back for another. You won’t be disappointed. Booking online was easy and I called before hand and got all my questions answered by Sandy. This was a great and safe “socially distant” activity during Covid. Thank you!

Hi Lindsay, Thank you so much for choosing Crystal River Watersports for your manatee tour, and for taking the time to write a review, we really appreciate it. Taking a private tour right now is a great way for families to enjoy an activity out in nature and to enjoy the beautiful Nature Coast. At the present time all of our tours are private boats, and at a discounted rate. This makes it safer and more stress free experience. If anyone is worried, we do have all of our cleaning protocols listed on our website. We have always cleaned our equipment and boats with bleach and water, but we have doubled the precautions just to be safe, and if guests have their own mask and snorkels they are most welcome to bring them. I am really delighted you all enjoyed your tour, and we look forward to seeing you again. Each trip is different, and you never know exactly what you will see, and how the manatees will decide to behave each trip. Thanks again, Sandi
