My family of five had the most amazing experience on our manatee tour with our guide Hailey and Captain Robert. Hailey was calm and clear in her instruction. The manatee came right up to us. We had friends who opted to not do the guided tour and just go alone, and they did not have the type of intimate experience with these gentle giants that we did. It is worth every penny. The staff at Crystal River Watersports is top-notch. I recommend this company to anyone who wants to have an unforgettable memory.

Robert and Hailey both love our manatees, and we are so happy you enjoyed your tour with them. Our shop, as a Save the Manatee designated Guardian Guide tour, works hard to not only make your tour enjoyable, but also educational and safe for both our guests and the manatees. As a result, our guests learn how to properly practice passive observation- which makes the manatees feel comfortable and safe. That often translates into the manatees being curious and wanting to interact. Since it is all up to the manatees, that is important. We really enjoyed hosting you and your family, and hope the memories you earned while swimming with the manatees stays with you for a lifetime. Plus- we are always here for a refresher if you decide to do it again. :)

Guides Don and John not only provided a terrific eco tour but also spotted and guided us to over a dozen manatees; males, females, and infants. An unforgettable day on the water.

Thank you so much for choosing Crystal River Watersports for your tour, and for taking the time to write a review- we really appreciate it. You came at a great time when we had a lot of manatees, and we are seeing a large number of new calves out in the Bay this spring. They are so adorable, and we are thrilled that our guests are enjoying seeing them, but also that all of our guest have been so respectful of both the calves and cows, and let them have their space while the mom and infant bond. This respect is what makes the manatees feel safe and comfortable swimming with us. Crystal River Watersports, as a Save the Manatee Club Guardian Guide approved tour is dedicated to respecting the manatees, their environment and using the tours as a way to not only give our guests a great experience, but to also inspire them to help protect these amazing creatures. When people love something, they become passionate about protecting it- and I think we agree that the manatees deserve to be protected and respected. Dakota in water guide & Kristy the boat driver. They are the best of the best. Top things, care & respect for the animals and the rules. Ensuring Manatees are left in their natural habitat with peace and respect. Other companies out there when we were on our cruise did not always seem to share these qualities. This firm is top notch! Go nowhere else!

We love having guests that appreciate and respect our manatees, and who enjoy seeing them in their natural environment. They are such gentle and majestic animals, that we want to make sure that we keep them safe, and that they are around for our grandchildren, and great grandchildren to see. Crystal River Watersports was recently awarded the Guardian Guide designation by the Save the Manatee Club, which means that we not only respect the laws set down by the US Fish and Wildlife Service, but that we uphold higher standards to safeguard the manatees and the local environment.
