Les passagers doivent être âgés de 4 ans ou plus - et les jeunes enfants doivent s'adapter en toute sécurité à l'un de nos casques approuvés par le DOT. La GoCar est immatriculée en tant que moto - mais un permis moto n'est pas nécessaire pour conduire le véhicule.

We decided to rent the GoCar after our original plans for San Francisco fell through. It was an amazing twist of fate as this was honestly our favorite part of our whole trip. The GoCar is small, yes. It's essentially a street legal gocart in my opinion. You do have to wear helmets, and you will be driving a clown car sized bright yellow vehicle, so be prepared for staring and random strangers taking your picture. It was a great hit with other tourists. One couple even asked if they could sit in it and take their picture! The car took us all over the city and we felt very safe. We drove all three tours over the course of seven hours, stopping in several places. We explored the beaches, a few museums, Golden Gate Park, Lombard Street, the Golden Gate Bridge lookout, Fisherman's Wharf, the Palace of Fine Arts and Alamo Square. We drove down Haight-Ashbury and up and down the hills of San Francisco. We saw more in those hours than it would be possible to see in several days on organized tours. The GoCar itself worked great, no mechanical problems and the GPS was definitely loud enough and accurate. It took us on great tours and told us little tidbits along the way about the history of the area. The only drawback in my opinion is the definite lack of storage. There is a "trunk" but the gas tank takes up most of it so you can barely squeeze a purse or jacket around it. That means that your helmets have to be carried with you when you stop somewhere. For the price it was a blast and we would definitely rent one again in the future.

We rented 2 GoCars for some friends that came into town. It was actually a lot of fun and despite some of the negative reviews about breaking down, thank goodness we didn't. I was also concerned with how big the GoCar was. One of the guys is a tall 6'3 but he fit perfectly. Any taller may have been uncomfortable. Parking was still a pain but probably could fit 3 in one space, tightly. The parking garage charged us motorcycle rate which was nice, but you may want to mention it. We zipped all over San Fran and we loved the GPS/tour guide. Some good information historically. The GoCar was easy to get adjusted. I can't even tell you how many pictures were taking pictures of us, we made sure to pose. haha! It was a lot of fun. We rented for 3 hours and it was perfect. We also rented on a Monday and thought traffic would be less which it probably was but not from the Ferry Building down to the Wharf...if you can avoid it, I would. It's a lot of bus exhaust. Overall, it was an awesome adventure and very happy we did. I also suggest upgrading to the higher power cars. Climbing those San Fran hills...the extra $15 was totally worth it!

We purchased a voucher through living social so we were excited to try a new way to tour a city. The concept is great, especially for families with teens. It is a small car/go kart with narrated gps that allows you to choose a route to tour San Francisco. My 13 year old and I did not have a good experience. After the fumes and great frustration of the car dying at every light, our car eventually broke down and we needed to be "rescued" by the folks at GoCar. Within 10 minutes, they brought us a new car, but we were stressed out and did not want to continue with the tour so we returned to the facility to end our tour. My husband and 15 year old had a reliable car and they loved it. We were glad that they continued to complete the tour. They actually went down Lombard Street and have great pictures. Management was very easy to work with. I'm glad we tried it, but definitely not for me.
