Let it be known, You cannot see the Grand Canyon West Rim without purchasing a $60 admission ticket to ride the shuttle to the Grand Canyon lookout/viewpoint. The reason for the charge being the West Rim is not considered a national park and is located on Hualapai Indian Reservation. After purchasing an admission ticket, it is an additional $32 to experience the skywalk glass bridge, not matching the advertised price online (listed as ALL in price of admission & skywalk of $59 total). Do not get confused of the website description of a “free Hop-On Hop-Off shuttle service to get to the West Rim attractions.” There is nothing free involved in this entrance to the Grand Canyon, besides the free parking outside of the West Rim airport. Let’s also not forget, you cannot take any personal belongings, including: phones, purses, and cameras. “Photographers are located at viewpoints with pictures available for purchase.” Save yourself the drive, plan to stop at the North or South Rim where you can take photos on your own personal camera for no fee and be forced into a $60 entrance fee.
