Our family of four of varying fitness levels had a fantastic day hiking in the Grand Canyon! Jon had all the gear we needed-crampons, trekking poles, camelbacks, water and Gatorade, unbelievably awesome snack bags and a delicious lunch! He expertly guided us down the trail at our own pace. He took the most awesome pictures of our family too! I can’t say enough good things about this hike with Jon. It was truly one of our most memorable family experiences.

Great day hiking down and up the Grand Canyon. Jon was fully prepared with everything we needed including lots of snacks, drinks and a delicious lunch. He was patient and attended to everyone’s needs. Excellent knowledge of all things related to the canyon. Good sense of humor! Highly recommend this tour!!

I agree with everything except the "good sense of humor". Hiking down the South Kaibab with you is the best job anyone could have. Thanks for hiking with me and cherish those photos!

This was our first trip to the GC and we wanted to do a hike BUT knew we would only enjoy with a guide and proper equipment. Our family (kids ages 14 & 11) are novice hikers. Only Grand Canyon Day Hikes did not disappoint! They supplied backpacks with more snacks than we could possibly eat, hiking sticks (a must!) and crampons (definitely needed bc it has been snowing lately). Our guide, Kevin, was fantastic. He showed us the ropes and let us set the pace especially getting back out. Kevin also made us a delicious fresh lunch down at Cedar Point. Cost may seem pricey but it was definitely worth it. Some members of our family were very apprehensive about the hike but Only Grand Canyon Day Hikes really set us up for success and we had a great day. Jon especially was very communicative prior to the hike so we knew what to pack & what to expect. Would highly recommend!
